New Header and Avatar Cameo Design

Hello CoffeeLovers :)

I just got a brilliant idea about making an avatar cameo for this blog
This avatar will guide you to many later posts on this blog about coffee other knowledge in coffee related.

His name is RoboCaff.

I've been trying to design it for about 3 days.

After a lot of hardwork i ask Nita's opinion :

Me         : "How about this ?"

Nita        : "What is this? a Villain?"

Me         : " -_- ' "

Nita        : "Try a little bit simpler"

Me         : " .... i guess you're right"

Nita    : "It's like Domokun"
Me     : "It's cute though"
Nita    : "Yup"

Nita     : "I like this one"
Me      : "I love this, i'll choose this :) "
Nita     : "It's great"
Me      : "I'll try naming it"

Well. i'll have him as my my servant as the guardian of this blog :)

"Barista the Manga" (The Edge, Medan )

Hey there CoffeeLovers :)

Today i want to talk about Manga.

Yup. the first manga what ever publish in this earth is "Astro Boy". Remember? A robot kid who tries to save the world using his prototype powers. Ozamu Tesuka is a brilliant artist who brought this scy-fy genre manga up a level. And then all the manga artisans like Eichiro Oda, Fujiko F Fujio, Masashi Kishimoto, make up their own dreams and set sail in a Manga World.

Talking about Manga. I know a good one. A Coffee related manga

This is A coffee related manga. A Story about .... Nah, you read it. It's a great story about coffee making skills and others. About passion of perfection is more precise.

You should read it. I know a good skills, about coffee making skills just by reading it.

Today we found a good place in the outskirts of Medan.

The Edge. Grand Swiss-Belhotel,  Lt.27 Jln. Letjend S.Parman No.217, Medan

I couldn't got a snapshot inside of the Bar, because there was lack of lights and i couldn't got a nicequality pictures

But the outdoor part, this is just heaven. A lovely view

Like a Zen Garden

This place is relaxing. If you're just in time, you'll see a beautiful sunset in the outskirts

"Local Sumatera Tea"

A single Espresso shot served in a tea cup.

I saw them using the Saeco Royal Machine 

ESPRESSO JUDGMENT

A thick Milk-like Crema, Full bodied. Richful. But Taste Flat. Although there's a fruit-like in the aftertaste.

"Books" (Fresh Coffee Shop, Medan)

Hey Coffee Lovers :)

"Books". I wonder what it sounds if you heard it. On some people, books are actually unnecessary , that they should get burned or threw away at a trash can. In the other hand,, some people cannot live without it.
In my perspectives. Books are good, not all of it are good but some of it really make you think from the author's perspectives. Even some great writers put they heart and soul into the creation.

A Single Shot Espresso.

ESPRESSO JUDGMENT 

Because i'm too exited talking to mas Irfan, i forgot to sipped the Espresso while at its best temperature. As you can see, i shot the Espresso while the Crema are getting thinner. 

My bad ... 

I couldn't guess what beans are they actualy use, but these beans are freshly roasted from Italy.

Low Acidity like always, Flavorful, Nutty and Mild.

It even Taste good when i Exhale :)

For Coffee Lovers. This is a nice and balanced Espresso, right at 25 sec Extraction

Rumah Kami Medan

Helloo CoffeeLovers :)

I'm a big fan of Jazz music. I've been dreaming since forever having a cafe with Jazz Lounge, where all the legends like John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Sonny Rollins, play at the same spot in a small cafe.

I love a conversation like 
A : "Aye Jim, make some cool major 7 would you ?"
B : "Sure mate :) "
or like 
A : "Hey Jim, how's the wife?" 
B : "Well my friend, she still sleeps with my brother." 
A : "Bravo mate" 
B : "Another Scotch?"

Today i found a great spot in outskirts of Medan

 Jln. Merak No 34 Medan.

 The place is somehow hard to find, you must have a good eye to find a good place like this :)

An Amazing old Piano, This place has too much cozyness. Vintage, Vintage anywhere

Old Table and i love the side Bar

Rancilio Classe 7 . This One are one of the best Espresso Machine in coffee industry. Its durability in High-Volume Cafe is unquestionable. But i have no idea if it's Double Boiler or Heat Exchange Machine

Mas Dana The Barista :) . I love sharing coffee experiences with him, and he made me a nice and balanced espresso shots

Mas Dana said to me that this was a coffee reject, which means it's extracted under 20 sec but already reach 50ml or more. (but the way he extracted it, it already rich in aroma an thick crema. The Failed espresso prove me that my espresso making skills need improvements.... a lot :((

Needless to say, Thick crema , Rich flavor and Perfect Balance. 

A perfection i found in a single cup

Recommended? I just gave it 5 Stars

This cafe has a 5 Stars coffee experience. Great Barista, Great Waitresses. More good news, if you happen to met a guy whom designed the Desa Resto or Gardenia. The Guy is the manager of this cafe :) . I didn't surprise after heard that statement , of course, seeing the cafe design. :)
