Sospeso !! (Cuckoo Latte Medan )

Hello CoffeeLovers.

There's a tradition in Italy. Because drinking coffee were becoming a great part of human rights, and the poor that actually cannot afford it yet can get Sospeso Coffee or Coffee Pending.

Caffe Sospesso were originally an act of charity toward the homeless and the poor.
I give you this illustration.
A man were make a take-out order cappucinno and pays for 3 cups of it. But then he just take 2 cups and asked the Barista to make the other cup a Pending Coffee. The Barista said yes, and he packed the 2 cups and gave it to him. The next few minutes, a lady did the same thing but just order 2 cups, pays for them both but just took a cup and asked the Barista if he could make the other cup a Pending Coffee. The Barista said Yes.
Just before the closing time, a homeless man came, sit on the banco and asked the Barista if there's any Coffee Pending left.
The Barista handed over the Cappucinno which is already payed by the earliest customers.

That is really a great tradition, remembering if charity doesn't always had to be money.
Now i'm just wondering here. What would happen to my country Indonesia if there's such tradition ??

This is actually a late post, i reviewed this Cafe for almost three weeks ago.

Cuckoo Latte

The name "Cuckoo Latte" originally came from the cuckoo clock, and somehow the

wallpapers and interiors reminds me of it

This place has some great menus. Despise focusing on drinks, they serve delicious snacks for

customers to eat.

I love the Interior Design, it's very inviting and colourful.

This cafe located not too far from schools and public places. I believe they're customers are teenagers and students of course. Being next to Jln. S. Parman, this place is surely catches our eyes when we pass the road.

Small place, yet Cozy and a really great place for a hang out.

I love how they actually pick their name "Cuckoo"

It's like something that not common but sounds familiar.

The Menu, i belive it's DIY stuff, cartons and some homemade things.

Latte art Cappucinos :)

Cafes rarely give addition to cappucino, they gave they biscuits addition.

Ta- Da, This is La Spazialle S5. A 54kg beast with attractive Ruby Red. 5 Litre Boiler and Temperature Adjusting makes this machine a capable on large cafes and makes this an amazing tool to operate and learn much about temperature. Killer steam wand and amazing Stabilize Temperature system

I interviewed the Barista, His name is Yofi and he's really a nice guy. He has great potential to become a great Barista. He loved to talk and i really enjoyed my conversation with him. He's still new to the Coffee world, but it doesn't matter because all i can see is his passion to be greater..

oooh man, This machine is a beauty ...

ESPRESSO JUDGMENT

With the cookies as add ons on the my Espresso Doppio, makes the customers felt a great service , especially for those who can't took the bitternes.

Skills Transformation (Mind Cafe Medan )

Hello CoffeeLovers :)

It's been awhile since i update my latest post.
Thesis deadlines are killing me, but this blog still have a serious commitment from his Master :) LOL

Anyway, This time i wanted to talk about skill transformation. Which is you can see (like this blog). I can write, draw, making photos by surfing on photography skills. It's like two birds with one stone. I'm not trying to make pride to it, but somehow i felt joy because i can do the exact things i love and it's all encapsulated in this single blog. :)

Unique Design, Somehow reminds me of theatre-like retro

A very cool wall decorating using light bulbs

Hundreds of Board Games. Monopoly, Risk, Connect 4 , Scrabble and more.

There's a regulation to check if you want to play though.

You have at least ordered food so you can play it for free

or

you can order just drinks but they will charge you about IDR 7.000 per player and per hour

Now, This is a real Burger. Monopoly Burger and it's about IDR 40.000.

Well.. it suits the name "Monopoly"

Carimali Espresso Machine. Great cafes are still using this as their heart in a coffee shop.

It's a great high-volume cafe. One of the cafe that uses this machine is The Black Canyon cafe.

The Food and Beverages are superb. And it's a cool place to hang out because there's board games you can play. Enough with those video games and iPods. These games are way cooller than anything.

New Header and Avatar Cameo Design

I just got a brilliant idea about making an avatar cameo for this blog
This avatar will guide you to many later posts on this blog about coffee other knowledge in coffee related.

His name is RoboCaff.

I've been trying to design it for about 3 days.

After a lot of hardwork i ask Nita's opinion :

"Barista the Manga" (The Edge, Medan )

Hey there CoffeeLovers :)

Today i want to talk about Manga.

Yup. the first manga what ever publish in this earth is "Astro Boy". Remember? A robot kid who tries to save the world using his prototype powers. Ozamu Tesuka is a brilliant artist who brought this scy-fy genre manga up a level. And then all the manga artisans like Eichiro Oda, Fujiko F Fujio, Masashi Kishimoto, make up their own dreams and set sail in a Manga World.

Talking about Manga. I know a good one. A Coffee related manga

This is A coffee related manga. A Story about .... Nah, you read it. It's a great story about coffee making skills and others. About passion of perfection is more precise.

You should read it. I know a good skills, about coffee making skills just by reading it.

Today we found a good place in the outskirts of Medan.

I couldn't got a snapshot inside of the Bar, because there was lack of lights and i couldn't got a nicequality pictures

But the outdoor part, this is just heaven. A lovely view

This place is relaxing. If you're just in time, you'll see a beautiful sunset in the outskirts

I saw them using the Saeco Royal Machine

A thick Milk-like Crema, Full bodied. Richful. But Taste Flat. Although there's a fruit-like in the aftertaste.
